The Selling Point

7 Ways to Thank the Pet Industry

Every year, around Thanksgiving, we start to sit down and think about the previous nearly-11 months that have come to pass. We consider the events of the year and start to plan out how we would like to see next year pan out. So, in light of this week's festive holiday, we have decided to take a break from our weekly educational articles to express what we are truly thankful for.

We  encourage you to reach out to those you appreciate in this industry as well, because it feels good to take a second and reflect on what we are thankful for...and equally good to give someone a smile.

Thank you...

Thank you to independent pet retailers who do what you do every single day to stand out from the crowd and offer your customers a truly unique and memorable experience. Trust us, we know it's not easy being a small company and wearing many hats, but we hope you'll get to take a breath this Thursday and remember why you do it all (for the food on the table, and in your dog's bowl, of course).

Thank you to regional and national pet retailers who are working on ensuring your customer always gets the right product at the right price at the right time. We know it's not easy managing a large number of stores or employees, but you're doing great and we are thankful for all that you do.

Thank you to our distributor reps who work closely with us to ensure retailers get the best offerings within the whole industry. You work hard on a daily basis to make your customers happy, so they can do the same for theirs, and we couldn't ask for anything more. We are looking forward to another great year of selling pet products!

Thank you to our manufacturers who, without which, well...let's just say I wouldn't be writing this article. We are confident that you are the best of the best in the industry, and we're thankful you chose us to help you make your mark in the pet world. We're looking forward to a great 2017 working together to give pets the best, because we all know they deserve it.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the pet industry to make it what it is today. As we all know, this industry is full of wonderful people who are crazy...about one thing: Pets.

And, on that note, we'd like to say thank you to all of our furry friends (although you won't be able to read this, we're sure your owners next to you will read it out loud to you). You are the motivation we need to get out of bed every day and make and sell products that (ideally) make your life just a bit more comfortable. Although you might not be able to enjoy the pumpkin pie we're sure your family is preparing to make for this holiday, we're sure you'll enjoy some seasonal treats or maybe a toy or two.

On a personal note, I'd like to say thank you to my team of colleagues here at All Points Marketing. Things might get a little bit crazy, deadlines might get a little bit tight, but no matter what challenge is thrown our way, I'm confident that our teamwork and collaboration always gets the job done, and the job done well.

Happy Thanksgiving

We wish everyone an abolutely wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We hope the food is plentiful, the laughter never ends, and the dogs take a break from begging at least once every half hour, and that the bottle of wine (or sparkling cider?) is as delicious as your friends say it is.
